With a degree in Marketing, David brings more than 30 years of experience in the areas of brand and identity marketing, promotional planning, advertising, UI/UX insight, and graphic design for both print and digital media… and while he’s technically the boss, he might lead you to believe otherwise as he dotes on the accomplishments of his team well before his own. Before creating the world of Envision, he served in marketing and creative direction roles in the financial technology industry, with a short stint as a fashion and food photographer. David found himself in the unique position of being able to create a branding/marketing/advertising agency from the ground up and entirely from the client perspective. So when he says he knows what it’s like to be in the client’s shoes, he means it. In fact, it’s the foundational premise for all things Envision… “What would we want if we were the client?”. As easy as that sounds, it’s a concept that is lost on many agencies these days. As David would say, “If we aren’t asking ourselves, ‘why?’ on a regular basis, then we’re not being the best we can be for our clients!”.
Over the past 20+ years, he has led in the creation of an impressive client roster including Dell, HEB, Hilton Hotel, Make-A-Wish Foundation, AMD, The Global Wildlife Conservation, Grande Communications, Night Hawk Frozen Foods, and The University of Texas at Austin, to name a few. When not doting about the Envisionaries, he enjoys photography, playing guitar, and watching horror movies with his family and 3 hound dogs. He also grills a killer ribeye steak and can eat his weight in crab legs and lobster tails.
